I am Pradeep, a researcher, educator, and robotics engineering specialist with a strong academic and professional background. I hold a PhD in Engineering from Deakin University Australia, an MSc in Sustainable Environment and Energy Systems from Middle East Technical University, North Cyprus, and a BSc Special Honors Degree in Physics from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka.
With over five years of university-level teaching experience, I am passionate about education, research, and innovation. I have made significant contributions to my field, including a US patent, three theses, and more than 17 internationally published papers.
My recent research work focusing on cutting-edge developments in robotics, AI, and automation. In addition to my research, I am also an educator, mentoring others in education and technology.

In 2024, I was granted an Australian Global Talent PR in recognition of my exceptional achievements in the field of Autonomous Systems and Robotics.
In 2023, I was awarded the Research Fellow position at the Institute for Intelligent Systems Research and Innovation, Deakin University Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus.
In 2022, I was awarded the Associate Research Fellow position at the Institute for Intelligent Systems Research and Innovation, Deakin University Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus.
I published one patent, 10 journal articles, two conference proceeding entries, six conference papers, and three theses.
My works have been cited 485 times by researchers around the world, including 97 citations from 2024.
Due to my excellent background and expertise in the fields of robotics and automation, I was awarded (2019) a highly selective Deakin University Postgraduate Research Scholarship(DUPRS) for my PhD study over a period of 3.5 years.
In 2014, I was awarded a Research Assistant position in the Department of Sustainable Environment and Energy Systems, Middle East Technical University- Northern Cyprus Campus.
In 2014, I was awarded the Graduate Teaching Assistant Scholarship in the Department of Physics, Middle East Technical University Norther Cyprus Campus.
In 2011, I was awarded a Temporary Demonstrator position at the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka.
