🏘️ The Number Master Guide
🌈 1. Meet the Neighborhood (Standard Form)
Large numbers are divided into groups of three digits called Periods or Zones. We leave a space between them.
Billions (Zone 4)
Millions (Zone 3)
Thousands (Zone 2)
Units (Zone 1)
📖 2. How to Read a Number
To read a number like 25 430 100, just follow these 2 steps:
- Read the 3 digits in the house normally (e.g., "Twenty-five").
- Shout the House Name (e.g., "Million").
- Move to the next house! (Don't say "Units" at the end).
Example: "Twenty-five Million, four hundred thirty Thousand, one hundred."
✏️ 3. Vice Versa: Words to Digits
If you hear "Four Million, six Thousand," how do you write it?
- Rule: Every house (except the first one) MUST have 3 digits.
- If a house is missing numbers, use Zeros as placeholders!
- Words: "Four Million, six Thousand, twelve"
- Digits: 4 006 012
